Welcome to Synergy Wellness Center, and thank you for your interest in me as a practitioner. I look forward to helping each and every one of my patients. I hope this helps you to better understand my background in the healing arts and gives you assurance in your choice of acupuncturists by adding me as part of your healing team.

I have been in the natural medicine world for about 15 years. Growing up, I knew nothing about natural medicine. It wasn’t readily available where I was from. My intent when I entered college was to study Environmental Science at UW.

I came to the greater Seattle area from Kansas City, MO to visit UW, and while I was here, I slipped and fell, injuring my low back. I already had back pain due to an overuse injury from being a martial artist. My doctors followed the standard of care protocol and had given me muscle relaxers and pain killers to ease the pain. The medication had done very little to ease my overuse pain, and the fall made it excruciating. After enduring a day of 10 level pain, I decided to go see an acupuncturist. I was hoping that it would ease my pain, so I could make it through my time in Seattle with less discomfort. After one treatment, my pain had decreased from a 10 level pain to a 2 level pain. This is not always standard, but I responded well to acupuncture. In addition, for the first time in two weeks, I could bend over and tie my shoes with minimal pain. When I got back to Missouri, I did a research project for a class on natural medicine. I was so amazed by what I learned, that afterward, I changed my major. I often say I did not chose acupuncture, it chose me. It has been an amazing journey of discovery that has opened my heart and mind to many varieties of medicine and medical treatments.

Since my fall all of those years ago, I have studied many topics in natural medicine. Everything I have learned has made me a better practitioner. I am very comfortable working with patients from diverse backgrounds with a variety of health issues. My experiences have lead me to specialize in the areas of chronic pain, women’s health, stroke recovery, and other chronic health issues. My education and training includes: energy work, massage therapy, training in psychosomatic health issues, Reiki master, an internship in stroke recovery, herbalism, Ayurvedic techniques, Aroma Point Therapies, and nutritional therapy. My goal is to be the best practitioner I can be, so that I can provide the best care possible for my patients.

If you are looking for support in recovery from a pain condition, gynecological issues, stress management, or other chronic health issue, I am here and ready to support you with a synergistic skill set. Why have just acupuncture when you can have a combination of holistic support that helps you get better faster and feel your best
longer.
