I have always been interested in medicine, particularly complimentary forms of medicine and healing. It wasn’t until my oldest son got sick and was hospitalized with a viral infection that I first discovered the power of acupuncture and it’s ability to help heal the body. In addition to helping with his physical symptoms I noticed that his acupuncture treatments had a significant calming effect and helped eased the anxiety he was feeling around his illness. I was amazed at how calm and focused he would become during treatments and how engaged he was with the acupuncturist. He felt safe and empowered to take an active role in his healthcare and healing.
This experience lead me to pursue a degree in acupuncture with the goal of creating a space that allows patients to feel secure and empowered to take an active role in their journey to health and wellness. During my clinical training I had the amazing opportunity to intern with a non-profit organization that provides acupuncture to the elderly in several local communities. This helped shape my clinical practice into what it is today.
I love to work with the senior population and help them maintain an active healthy lifestyle. I also passionately support those struggling with emotional imbalances and stress. These can show up in a variety of ways, including anxiety and depression, insomnia, headaches and digestive disorders. Acupuncture is only one of the modalities that I use to address these symptoms. Low Level Laser Therapy, Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy, Cupping, Gua Sha and Reiki can also be part of an individualized treatment plan. I care deeply about my patients, their health and wellness and am honored to have the opportunity to support the process of physical, emotional and mental healing.
